Tayazawan, formally known as Zion, began his musical journey in Trinidad; the country of his birth. Over the past 14 years, Tayazawan has blossomed into a spiritual reggae artist, portraying the essence of Rastafari through singing and performing self authored lyrics.
Tayazawan, sets himself apart from other artists through his presence and performance on stage; always giving his audience a memorable performance that is filled with versatility and energy.
Some of Tayazawan’s career highlights include: * 1994: Cocoa Cola School Tours; HIV/AIDS awareness campaign. * 1997: Lead Singer for Signs International; Toured locally from 97’-99’ * 2000: Accepted into the National Soca Monarch Competition of Trinidad and Tobago. * 2003: Recorded and marketed first U.S.A. single; Found Love. * 2005-2006: Performed at 8 stage shows in which he performed alongside local and internationally renowned artists. * 2007: Release of “Fire Fi Bun”; a 15 track compilation comprising of songs written by Tayazawan * 2008: released 2 singles; Tines are Red, She gone again, * 2009: Currently working in Jamaica with Producers Handel Tucker and Clive Hunte on completing 2 tracks: Wha she Want & Chant Babylon for release in the summer of 09; stay tuned for the release date…
